MY POO : Stay if you like the smell ;p

2weeks ago, my bff Aaron told me about this awesome contest by Veet + Nuffnang  & encouraged me to join. I never entered any online contest before so why not kan?
then when i found out that guys can join too, i encouraged him pulak to join.

As i was raiding my closet, searching for a perfect cloth to alter, i found this pretty pink abstract print chiffon fabric that i wore as a pareo skirt to match my white & pink kebaya for MMMC's 9th Convocation last year, now collecting dust & looking sad coz i dont wear it anymore.

i was planning to make a blouse out of it to wear at a friend's wedding reception in early October and

as i was trying to imagine what design that i wanna do for the blouse, i found out that there are so many ways to wear the cloth just by tying & wrapping it around my body.
absolutely no stitching required!

 i end up spending the night playing around with the cloth, experimenting different styles & managed to come up with 8 different ways to wear a large scarf / pareo skirt.

1) The Mini Pareo

tie it like a normal pareo, just shorter :)
i just found out that we can adjust the length of the pareo to mini, midi or maxi.

superfun! :D

2) The Pseudo-Bolero cover up

i called it 'pseudo-bolero' because it's not 

short enough to be a bolero jacket. lol.

perfect to be paired with tube/sleeveless plain dresses :)

with a sweetheart neckline, this dress is perfect for a date at the beach

4) The Open Back Halter Top

wear a blazer over it & u're ready to rock the office :D
(not with that mini skirt tho =.='')
take off that blazer after work & u r ready to party!
a perfect day to night look :))

 

7) Babydoll Bubble Dress

fun & flirty dress for a special date with your beau :D

 i used to shave my legs using a razor & the downside of it is that it gives me a lot of nicks and cuts & that leaves ugly scars on my legs :(
i used to avoid wearing short skirts/shorts/dresses because of the ugly scars. After shaving, the leg hair grows back pretty fast too and im too scared to re-shave it again too often cz i might get more cuts & scars.
can u imagine if i keep on using razors to shave my legs, i'll end up having legs full of scars like mentally ill people with self inflicted cuts. oh the horror!!

but thanks to Veet, i can confidently show off more skin (legs & armpits. ahem!) without worrying that i'd get disgusted stares for being hairy. lol. It super easy to use, im hair-free for a few weeks & it gives me zero cuts thus zero scar, oh i am one happy customer! I can now happily wear my fav tank tops, mini skirts & short shorts in public :D

it only took me 5minutes to get that dream flawless legs, i can even do my makeup while waiting for the Veet cream to work its magic. 

it's easily available at local drugstores & supermarkets even the kedai runcit opposite our campus sells them :D and most importantly it's super affordable (especially for a broke student like me) and even cheaper than having to go to the waxing parlour or changing razor blades.

(being a girl can be super high maintenance you know T___T)

now coming back to the fabric, it is now a blouse, fully handstitched by...

i dont have a sewing machine here & even if i have it, i dont know how to use it. FML

it took me 2 days of crazy sewing by hand but it's all worth it :))

wear it with the cape on, or without it.
